Wikileaks Founder Charges Dropped

Sweden has cancelled an arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on accusations of rape and molestation.

The Swedish Prosecution Authority website said the chief prosecutor had come to the decision that Mr Assange was not suspected of rape but did not give any further explanation.

Apples iPad is an overpriced closed platform cash cow, Cory Doctorow slams it as being targeted for , Apple's model customer who is that same stupid stereotype of a technophobic, timid, scatterbrained mother. 50,000 year old "hominin" Finger Found in Siberian Cave

A finger found in a Siberian cave, is from a previously unknown type of ancient human say Scientists. The extinct "hominin" (human like creature) lived in Central Asia between 48,000 and 30,000 years ago.

An international team has sequenced genetic material from the fossil showing that it is distinct from that of Neanderthals and modern humans.

Details of the find, dubbed "X-woman", have been published in Nature journal(external link).
