Firstly let me again stress that I was compelled to test out the Credit Card details only because of eBay's rebuff of any responsibility.

I began to register with the information from the T&S screen grab (below).

Please note I have edited the user information included in the screen grabs to protect the original eBay users data, the only information I have left in the eBay Post and further screen grabs are the users first name, the last 5 digits of his credit card and the expiry date of the credit card.

I managed to successfully register my own email address together with the eBay users details, and credit card as featured in the one post I had opened on eBays Trust and Safety message board. It took a couple of attempts to discover the correct credit card but after two it was accepted!

I completed the order and received an email from Amazon,:::::.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/stockinfillersgi" target='_blank'>amazon.com in my Gmail account.

After checking the staus of my order I got this

I proceeded to then cancel the order and remove the eBay users credit card information from Amazon,:::::.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/stockinfillersgi" target='_blank'>amazon.com

I cancelled the order with the reason given for cancellation as, "ebays security breached!"

The order was now cancelled and

I then removed the eBay users credit card information from Amazon,:::::.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/stockinfillersgi" target='_blank'>amazon.com.

At no point did I attempt to purchase anything for myself with this users "apparent" data. I considered Amazon,:::::.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/stockinfillersgi" target='_blank'>amazon.com the safest place to authenticate the credit card details. Maybe eBay are attempting to cover up the full scale of the problem. Even though the users credit card information was ultimately denied, it was still initially accepted and processed!
